This is the inaugural menu of Uptown Southern to celebrate Juneteenth, National Soul Food Month and LGBTQIA+ Pride. I've created a menu of a few of my most requested items for you to try. I hope you love them as much as we do.

We believe in equal opportunity smokin' so these ribs got rubbed, smacked, flipped, and smoke just like the brisket but we did change the rub to work with the pork.
A KC favorite. That weird triangle shaped part of the slab with small bones that get larger toward the middle of the slab. Some folks think the short end has more meat because the bones are smaller. Served with bread, sauce, pickles, onions, and pickled jalapeños & carrots.

Good ole yard bird, brined, rubbed and smoked to perfection.
Smoked chicken leg-thigh quarter. Served with bread, sauce, pickles, onions, and pickled jalapeños & carrots.

Slow smoked and seasoned for the gods. These beans are worldwide and neighborhood fave. Contains pork and beef.
Is it a side or is it a desert or is it bread, Dont know and don't care cause its really darn good.
aka Succitash. A childhood favorite just how my mother used to cook it but with a little sumthin sumtin extra. (Hint: I added lima beans.) I didn't know this was called Succotash until I moved to Texas.
Keepin' it 100, the bread and pickles are totally a KC thing. Texas put me on the onions and peppers!
Sweet, tangy, smokey and little spice. In KC, we put sauce on the meat and on the side.
Sweet and Smokey and a lotta bit Spicy. Same sauce but with some umpf in the kickness.
Just good ole fashion white sandwich bread.
